According to self-proclaimed football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona’s most recent bid for Leeds United’s Raphinha has been rejected.
The Italian journalist reported that, after talks with the player’s representative Deco, Barca submitted an offer to Leeds that failed to meet the Yorkshire club’s demands.
It is believed that Raphinha has already agreed personal terms with Barcelona and it appears that his first choice destination would be a transfer to Catalonia but Chelsea have already agreed a fee with their Premier League rivals.
Chelsea’s agreed fee is rumoured to be around 55 million euros that is expected to rise to 65 million euros with additional bonuses.
The Blues have also been heavily linked with Raheem Sterling as well as a plethora of centre-backs including Matthijs de Ligt, Nathan Ake, Kalidou Koulibaly and Jules Kounde.
Arsenal remain interested in the Brazilian international winger Raphinha but The Gunners appear to be in a similar position to Barcelona whereby the move seems financially implausible.
