Bournemouth are on the verge of signing Brazilian goalkeeper Neto from Barcelona.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the 33-year-old shot-stopper is due to have his medical with the newly-promoted team in the next few days.
Neto made his debut for Brazilian side Athlético Paranaense in 2009 before moving to Europe to join Fiorentina in 2011.
From there he moved to Juventus and then Valencia – during which time he earned his only Brazil cap – with Barcelona signing him as back-up to Marc-André Ter Stegen in 2019. Naturally, Neto hasn’t featured often for Barça having played just 21 games in three years at the club.
Cherries boss Scott Parker will now have to choose between new arrival Neto and the club’s current first-choice goalkeeper, Mark Travers.
Bournemouth are set to sign Neto, here we go! Full agreement with Barcelona as player travel's now being scheduled in next 24/48h to undergo medical tests and sign the contract. 🚨🍒 #FCB
