Ruthless France score FOURTEEN against Gibraltar

France recorded their biggest-ever victory after thrashing ten-man Gibraltar 14-0 in Nice.

The home side took the lead after just three minutes when Ethan Santos put the ball in his own net with Marcus Thuram doubling France’s lead almost instantly.

Some more history was made when 17-year-old Warren Zaïre-Emery became France’s youngest-ever goalscorer of the post-war era just 16 minutes into his debut to make it 3-0. Unfortunately for the PSG teenager though he hobbled off injured not long after his big moment.

With a half-hour gone, Kylian Mbappé scored the first of his three goals from the penalty spot before assisting the first of his hat-trick of assists when he set up Jonathan Clauss.

Another quickfire double by Kingsley Coman and Youssouf Fofana added to the scoreline to make it 7-0 at half-time.

Unfortunately for the visitors, there were another seven goals to come.

Again, a quickfire double from Adrien Rabiot, and another from Conan made it 9-0 by the 65th minute. 

Ousmane Dembélé took the score into double figures before Mbappé added two more to his tally to complete his hat-trick.

Substitute Olivier Giroud was able to get in on the action. Again, it was a quickfire double with goals in the 89th and 91st minute that rounded off a total thrashing of lowly Gibraltar.
