Championship side Bournemouth are set to announce Arsenal and Premier League legend, Thierry Henry, as their new manager following the sacking of Jason Tindall two weeks ago.

The Mirror reports the Cherries have convinced the 43-year-old to leave his post as manager of MLS side CF Montréal, in order to return to England in the coming days.

After retiring in 2014, Henry’s first venture into management saw him land the position of Roberto Martinez’ assistant manager with the Belgium national team, who reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup under their stewardship.

Henry left Belgium’s set up following the tournament to join former side Monaco who had just parted ways with title-winning coach Leonardo Jardim, but after just four wins out of 20 games, he was soon sacked.

The Frenchman has been with Montreal since 2019, collecting a record of nine wins, four draws and 16 losses in 29 games, while his likely new side, Bournemouth, sit sixth in the Championship, 11 points from the automatic promotion places.
