Arsenal's impressive recent resurgence in the Premier League was curtailed by a goalless draw with Crystal Palace at the Emirates on Thursday.
The Action: The Eagles created the better chances in the first half: James Tomkins heading against the crossbar from Eberechi Eze's free kick before Christian Benteke's effort was kept out by Gunners keeper Bernd Leno, who made a strong one-handed save.
In the second-half, Arsenal controlled more of the game and limited the threat posed by Palace's attacking players. However, the closest the hosts came to a matchwinner was when Alexandre Lacazette hit the side-netting before the offside flag went up.
The Big Picture: The Gunners missed in-form left-back Kieran Tierney and even though they enjoyed the majority of possession, they lacked the intensity and creativity to beat a well-organised Palace outfit.
Memorable Moment: In a forgettable match, Tomkins came closest to breaking the deadlock when his header crashed off the crossbar from Eze's cross.
Man of the Match: In a goalless draw, you would expect a defender or a goalkeeper would stand out, but it was the Eagle's attacking midfielder Eze who livened up an otherwise tedious game.
xG: Arsenal (0.37) 0-0 (0.71) Crystal Palace
Stat of the Day: Arsenal have kept four consecutive clean sheets in all competitions for the first time since October 2016.
