The rumour mill has kicked into overdrive after Liverpool's 3-1 defeat to Brentford on Monday night - and Sky Sports are reporting that the Reds are interested in signing Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes.
The Merseysiders have identified midfield as an area that needs strengthening and 24-year-old Nunes has been earmarked as a player to add dynamicism and quality to an ageing engine room that includes the likes of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, Naby Keita and James Milner.
Nunes is reportedly also being monitored by Man City – but the current speculation suggests that the player is more likely to move this summer rather than during the January window.
According to reports, the former Sporting midfielder is valued at £50m by Wolves.
