Spurs vie with Barcelona for Bergvall

Tottenham are keen to tie top a January transfer deal for teenage Swedish sensation Lucas Bergvall.

The North Londoners are hoping to beat off competition from the likes of Barcelona to land the 17-year-old, who is already a first team starter for Djurgarden in Sweden's top flight. 

Spurs' new technical director Johan Lange is thought to be keen on the teenager, who made 25 league appearances last season, scoring two goals. 
 
Bergvall made his senior international debut for Sweden earlier this month when he came on as a substitute in a 2-1 victory over Estonia.
