Atlético Mineiro edged past Corinthians

Atlético Mineiro triumphed over Corinthians in a close win on Wednesday, 3x2, in a game related to matchweek 2 of Brasileirão. To this matchday, Belo Horizonte (MG)'s team came from a win, and São Paulo (SP)'s team had their first game in the competition. Hyoran with a superb display.

The opening goal was scored by Jô after 12 minutes, through a header inside the penalty area. It was his 5th goal of the season. With 30 minutes on the clock, Ángelo Araos scored the second goal for Corinthians, with a right-foot strike inside the box, with Jô making the assist.

Sub Hyoran, after the break, changed the course of the game. After 52 minutes, midfielder fired home for Atlético Mineiro, with a right-foot shot, assisted by Guga. After 56 minutes, Hyoran struck the second goal for Belo Horizonte (MG)'s team, with a right-foot strike inside the penalty box.  with 61 minutes on the clock, Nathan wrapped things up, with a right-foot shot from outside the penalty box, after an assist provided by Guilherme Arana.

After the result Atlético Mineiro are 4th in the table, with 6 points, while Corinthians sit 13th place, with 1 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Belo Horizonte (MG)'s team will host Ceará, whilst São Paulo (SP)'s team visit Grêmio.
