Grêmio defeated Guaraní in a win on Friday, 0x2, in a match relating to the Last 16 of Libertadores. Both Asunción's team and Porto Alegre (RS)'s team held their first game in the competition.
The first-half ended without any goals.
The first goal was scored by Jean Pyerre after 56 minutes, with a right-foot strike from outside the penalty box. Pepê netted the last goal with 86 minutes on the clock with a right-foot shot. In the closing stages of the game, Guaraní saw Jorge Morel get sent off due to accumulation of yellows.
In relation to forthcoming league matches, Grêmio will play at home against Guaraní.
