Toronto FC triumphed over HFX Wanderers in a close win on Tuesday, 1x2, in a match relating to the quarter-finals of Canadian Championship.
The first-half ended with a goalless draw.
With 55 minutes on the clock, Jordan Perruzza opened the score for Toronto FC, laid on by Luca Petrasso. After 69 minutes, Samuel Salter fired home for HFX Wanderers, assisted by Jérémy Gagnon-Laparé. In a very unlucky moment, Peter Schaale scored an own-goal in the 86th minute.
Thanks to this result, Toronto FC are through to the next round of the competition.
