PSV beat Ajax and win the competition

PSV overcame Ajax in a superb win on Saturday, 3x5, in a match relating to the decisive game of the Holland Supercup. Both Alfred Schreuder's team and Ruud van Nistelrooy's team held their first game in the competition. Guus Til runned the show.

The opening goal was scored by Steven Bergwijn after 15 minutes. After 32 minutes, Guus Til fired home for PSV, laid on by Cody Gakpo. With 45 minutes already played, Guus Til fired home Eindhoven's team second goal, assisted by Cody Gakpo.

Ajax scored their second goal of the game through Antony, in the 54th minute, laid on by Owen Wijndal. With 65 minutes on the clock, Cody Gakpo struck for Ruud van Nistelrooy's team. Guus Til completed the hat-trick, assisted by Luuk de Jong, in the 69th minute. With 72 minutes on the clock, Mohammed Kudus fired home for Amsterdam's team. After 76 minutes, Alfred Schreuder's team saw Calvin Bassey leave the game early with a direct red card. In the closing stages of the game, Xavi Simons wrapped things up.

With this result, PSV win the Holland Supercup.
