Celta de Vigo emerge victorious against Alavés

Celta de Vigo beat Alavés in a close win on Saturday, 1x2, on matchweek 15. To this matchday, Javier Calleja's team came from a draw, and Eduardo Coudet's team came from three draws.

With 11 minutes on the clock, Santi Mina opened the scoring for Celta de Vigo, with a right-foot strike, assisted by Kevin Vázquez. After 21 minutes, Joselu fired home for Alavés, with a right-foot shot inside the penalty area, laid on by Luis Rioja.

In the 70th minute, Fernando Pacheco has defended a penalty, converted by Iago Aspas. Forward netted the last goal after 70 minutes from a penalty rebound.

After the result Celta de Vigo are 13th in the table, with 16 points, while Alavés sit 16th place, with 14 points. Next up, Vigo's team will play at home against Valencia, whilst Vitoria's team will play away against Granada.
