Kilmarnock celebrate narrow win over Hearts

Kilmarnock beat Hearts, 2x1, on Saturday, in a game relating to matchweek 30. In this competition, Derek McInnes's team came from a draw, and Robbie Neilson's team came from two defeats. In the starting XI there was Sam Walker, Jeriel Dorsett, Toby Sibbick, Jorge Grant and Josh Ginnelly. Zach Hemming, Ryan Alebiosu and James Hill didn't leave the bench.

The opening goal was scored by Lawrence Shankland after 7 minutes. In the 22nd minute, Danny Armstrong fired home for Kilmarnock, from the penalty spot. Christian Doidge netted the last goal shortly before the interval. With this strike, Christian Doidge reached 5th goals for the season.

After 58 minutes, Rory McKenzie left the game early after seeing a red card.

After the result Hearts are 3rd in the table, with 45 points, while Kilmarnock sit 10th place, with 28 points. In the next fixture, Derek McInnes's team visit Aberdeen, whilst Robbie Neilson's team will play at home against St. Mirren.
