U-20 Women's World Cup: Canada drop points at home against Nigeria

Nigeria overcame Canada, 3x1, on Thursday, in a match relating to the Grp.A of the U-20 Women's World Cup. Esther Onyenezide was the main player.

Kaila Novak opened the score early in the game. With 24 minutes on the clock, Esther Onyenezide struck for Nigeria, from the penalty spot. Nigeria's national team scored their second goal of the game through midfielder, after 32 minutes, from the penalty spot.

In the closing stages of the game, Chioma Olise netted the final goal of the game, assisted by Rofiat Imuran.

In relation to forthcoming league matches, Nigeria will play at home against Netherlands.
