PLAYMAKER QUIZ | Nicknames in English Football

Before we present this week's dreamboat of a quiz, let us quickly pay tribute to 2019/20 Premier League champions Liverpool.

After finishing a single agonising point behind Manchester City last season, the Reds needed to be made of pretty stern stuff if they were to bounce back and go one better this term. It turns out they were - Jurgen Klopp's Reds playing with the kind of verve, determination and confidence that define true champions.

Chelsea's 2-1 win at Man City yesterday saw Liverpool bag their first title in 30 years - ending a rocky period for the red half of Merseyside after its dominance of English football in the late 1970s and '80s. 

Much still to play for

The title's been lifted, but there's still a lot to look forward to: a huge battle for the European places to be waged and a desperate fight against relegation to be settled in the top flight. With the FA Cup back this weekend plus the remainder of the Championship season and the EFL play-offs still to come, there's plenty of life left in what has undoubtedly been a unique season. 

Anyway, on to this quiz: which focuses on club nicknames. We've selected 15 clubs from the Premier League down to the National League and referred to them by their nicknames...you just need to tell us each club's official moniker. 

Note: Some clubs may have an assortment of different nicknames, in which we've chosen what we consider to be the most well-known...
