The Italian Football Association have today confirmed that Euro 2020 matches in Rome will take place with supporters, making it the ninth host city to allow fans ahead of this summer’s tournament.
The Italian government have given the association the go-ahead, meaning that the Stadio Olimpico will fill at least 25% of its capacity for this summer’s group matches.
The eight other cities that have confirmed they will allow supporters to attend games are: Amsterdam, Baku, Bucharest, Budapest, Copenhagen, Glasgow, London and Saint Petersburg.
The three remaining host cities, Bilbao, Munich and Dublin, have been given until the 19th of April to finalise their plans, with Uefa then making a final decision over whether they will hold matches at those venues.
The Puskas Stadium in Budapest, which has hosted multiple Champions League fixtures this season, hopes to operate at 100% capacity, while Baku and Saint Petersburg plan to half-fill their stadia.
The remaining cities, Amsterdam, Bucharest, Copenhagen, Glasgow, Rome and London plan to allow anywhere between 25% and 33%, while many of them hope to confirm higher figures closer to the time.
All nine participating countries currently have varying travel restrictions, with supporters hoping to attend matches advised to visit the following page for further information: https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro-2020/news/025b-0ef33753d7d0-100629325be2-1000--key-information-for-euro-spectators/
