Real Madrid look set to give up on their all-time record signing, Eden Hazard, with the Belgian’s massively injury-hit time in Spain reaching a new low against former club Chelsea last night.
Hazard has made just 40 appearances out of a possible 99 in all competitions since signing, with a constant stream of injury woes, and last night he was expected to make a difference against his former club, but made virtually no impact on the match.
The 30-year-old then infuriated supporters who were already disappointed with his output of just four goals since signing, by laughing and joking with his old teammates following Madrid’s 2-0 loss and subsequent Champions League exit.

Now, less than 24 hours later, multiple Spanish outlets are reporting that Hazard is no longer part of Zinedine Zidane and Real Madrid’s future plans, with the club now looking to move the Belgian on, despite a deal looking incredibly difficult.
Real would likely have to take a gigantic loss on their record signing, whilst trying to attract the likes of Erling Haaland to a squad that showed its age last night as it was completely dominated by a young and vibrant Chelsea side.
