Sharing a recognisable name with a former Ballon d'Or nominee didn't save midfielder Alexander Arnhold from an agonising 12-0 defeat last night.
The midfielder endured a chastening evening as Bremen SV hosted Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the first round of the DFB Pokal, Germany's premier cup competition.
Bayern ran riot in the first-half and were 5-0 up at the break courtesy of a Choupo-Moting hat-trick, Jamal Musiala strike and an own goal from Bremen's Jan-Luca Warm.
Not content to sit on their lead, the visitors kept the pedal to the metal in the second half and hit a further seven goals - Choupo Moting fittingly completing a Pokal poker with his fourth of the evening.
German midfielder Arnhold played every minute of the drubbing - his famous namesake at Liverpool (if you excuse the 'h' in Arnhold!) probably unable to relate given his unbeaten record against Bayern (a 0-0 draw and a 3-1 win in the 2018/19 Champions League)!
