Manchester City moved to within three points of league leaders Chelsea with a 3-0 win over Everton on Sunday, thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling, Rodri and Bernardo Silva.
Action: It was a routine win for the Citizens, as they hit their stride perfectly after the international break. The Toffees were very compact and organised, but simply couldn't cope with City's incisive attacks and were ultimately swept awqay by the reigning Premier League champions.
City exploded out of the blocks and were denied a first-half penalty in the opening minute when Raheem Sterling appeared to have been brought down by Michael Keane, but a VAR review saw the decision overturned.
The hosts broke the deadlock after 44 minutes, however when Sterling, on his 300th league appearance, converted a superb trivela pass from João Cancelo.
The Citizens doubled their lead 10 minutes into the second half when Rodri picked out the top corner with a thunderous effort from range, that left Pickford with no chance.
Bernardo Silva added a late third to put the seal on a easy Premier League win for Pep Guardiola's men.
Big Picture: A professional victory from Guardiola's side kept the pressure up on Chelsea and Liverpool as they sit second, three points behind the Blues and one point in front of the Reds.
Meanwhile, defeat for Everton sees the Toffees' winless run in the Premier League extend to six matches, and they now sit 11th in the Premier League table.
Man City return to action on Wednesday night when they host PSG in the Champions League group stages, while Everton take a trip to Brentford next Sunday.
Memorable moment: Cancelo's trivela pass for Sterling's goal was exceptional.
Against a side intent on defending with 10 outfield players inside the last third of the pitch, genuine quality was needed and Cancelo provided it with an outstanding ball that picked the lock and set City on their way to a comfortable victory.
xG: Man City (2.33) 3-0 (0.28) Everton
Stat of the Day: All four of Rodri's open play goals in the Premier League have been strikes from outside the box; he only scored once from outside the area in La Liga before joining Man City.
🗣 "When one team comes and ten player sit back deep, and don't try to play, alway it's difficult."
