Leicester City defender Filip Benkovic has left the club by mutual consent, with the Croatian likely to move to Udinese shortly.
Benkovic joined the Foxes back in 2018 from Dinamo Zagreb for £13 million but failed to break through into the first team, being sent on loan spells to Celtic, Bristol City, Cardiff City, and OH Leuven. The 24-year old has only played two games this season for the U23 team.
In a statement, the Leicester club said: “The Club would like to place on record its thanks to Filip for his professionalism and dedication during his time in Leicester – an experience we hope he can build on in during his future career. He begins the next chapter with the very best wishes of everyone at Leicester City.”
Filip Benković has left Leicester City, after the Club and the player mutually agreed to cancel the remaining term of his contract.
