Nick Pope is close to staying in the Premier League with Newcastle United and Burnley having reportedly agreed on a fee of £12m for the goalkeeper.
The 30-year-old joined Charlton Athletic in 2011 where he spent a series of loan spells before making his breakthrough after moving to Burley in 2016.
His performances at Turf Moor earned him an England call-up in 2018, with the shot-stopper having won eight caps for his country so far in which he kept an impressive seven clean sheets.
Newcastle are hoping that Pope can challenge Slovakian keeper Martin Dúbravka for a place in the first team.
The player is expected to complete a medical before his move is completed tomorrow.
