Brighton & Hove Albion maintained their push for European qualification with an important 2-0 win against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, thanks to goals from teenagers Evan Ferguson and Julio Enciso.
The visitors took the lead in the 27th minute, with Kaoru Mitoma and Ferguson combining brilliantly for the opener.
Despite a slow start from the hosts, they came close to equalizing through Hamed Traore, who missed a gilt-edged chance after being set up by Jefferson Lerma.
Bournemouth continued to threaten in the second half, with Lerma and Dominic Solanke both coming close, but Brighton defended resolutely and managed to catch the Cherries out on the counter-attack.
Ferguson had a chance to double his tally but squandered the opportunity, leaving Brighton visibly frustrated.
However, Enciso stepped up to the plate and scored a memorable goal to seal the victory for the Seagulls.
The win was a crucial one for Roberto De Zerbi's men, who remain unbeaten in their last eight away games and are just four points off the top four, with two games in hand.
Gary O'Neil's men, meanwhile, find themselves in the relegation zone, level on points with Nottingham Forest, Everton, and West Ham United, separated only by goal difference.
