Luton Town have secured their spot in the Championship play-off final at Wembley after a 3-2 aggregate victory over Sunderland.
After suffering a 2-1 defeat at the Stadium of Light last Saturday, Rob Edwards' team faced an uphill battle in the second leg held at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday.
However, Luton wasted no time in leveling the tie, as Gabriel Osho pounced on a loose ball in the penalty box from a corner kick and scored within the first 10 minutes.
The hosts continued their dominance throughout the first half and extended their lead just before half-time when Tom Lockyer, the center-back, rose above the rest in the penalty box to head in a superb cross from Alfie Doughty on the right flank.
In the second half, Sunderland pushed forward in an attempt to get back into the game, but their efforts fell short.
The Hatters will now await the winner of the semi-final clash between Coventry City and Middlesbrough.
The Championship play-off final is scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 27th.
Coventry and Middlesbrough will face each other in the second leg tomorrow at the Riverside Stadium, with the score tied at 0-0 following a lackluster first leg at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
