Copenhagen secured a spot in the Champions League Last 16 for the first time since the 2010-11 season by defeating Galatasaray 1-0 at the Parken.
Both teams arrived at the final matchday with five points from their first five matches, setting the stage for a winner-takes-all contest.
In the 58th minute, the hosts took the lead through an attack down the left flank. Elias Achouri provided the assist to Lukas Lerager, who finished from close range.
Despite finishing the game with 10 players due to Lerager receiving two yellow cards, Copenhagen successfully defended their lead, and Galatasaray failed to score.
This victory marked Copenhagen's return to the Champions League knockout stages after a decade, with their last appearance in the 2010/11 season.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray now moves into the Europa League knockout round playoffs.
