Serie A side Udinese have confirmed the signing of Derby County youngster Festy Ebosele on a five-year contract at the end of the season.
Republic of Ireland U21 international Ebosele joined the Rams in 2018 from Irish club Bray Wanderers before breaking through to the first team at Pride Park.
The player has featured 32 times for his club already this season and been described as a potential superstar by manager Wayne Rooney. But with the club in administration they haven’t been able to offer the 19-year old a new contract.
Udinese already have one promising Irish teenager on the books, 18-year old James Abankwah who is currently back on loan at his former club St. Patrick.
It remains to be seen if Ebosele will be integrated into I Friulani’s first team squad or if he perhaps makes the more likely loan move out to Watford.
