Gillingham are looking for reinforcement in their attacking positions and Tom Nichols has been linked with a move to Gillingham.
The 29-year-old has impressed in recent seasons for Crawley and a number of League One clubs have reportedly shown interest in signing him.
Earlier this month, Crawley director of football Chris Galley said: “We’ve received an offer and a strong interest in Tom Nichols and we, as an organization that believes in a collaborative approach, felt it was an unnecessary distraction for (manager) Matthew Etherington is first game in charge.”
Since then, Nichols hasn't featured the Reds since then and a move away from Broadfield Stadium this January window seems more realistic than ever and Gillingham looks like it will be his destination.
