Billy Gilmour has returned a positive Covid-19 test that will rule him out of Scotland's crucial Group D encounter with Croatia on Tuesday.
Chelsea midfielder Gilmour was outstanding for the Scots in their 0-0 stalemate with England on Friday, in his first-ever start for his country.
Scotland will now have to do without Gilmour for the Croatia clash - which Steve Clarke's side have to win to progress from the group.
Both sides have a point to their name with two matches gone, while England and the Czech Republic occupy the first two spots in the group with four points each ahead of their meeting at Wembley.
"The Scottish FA can confirm that a member of the Scotland national team playing squad, Billy Gilmour, has tested positive for Covid-19," the SFA said.
"Having liaised with Public Health England since the positive test was recorded, Billy will now self-isolate for 10 days and therefore miss tomorrow's Uefa Euro 2020 Group D match against Croatia at Hampden.".
