Leeds United conceded four goals for the third game in a row as Tottenham Hotspur cruised to three points at Elland Road.
It took just ten minutes for the visitors to take the lead against Marcelo Bielsa’s team. The unlikely combination of Ryan Sessegnon and Matt Doherty combined to create a finely worked goal for Doherty.
Five minutes later and Dejan Kulusevski doubled Tottenham’s lead. The Swedish forward taking advantage of some lacklustre defending to fire a fierce shot past Illan Meslier.
The French goalkeeper could also do nothing to stop Harry Kane’s well-taken effort to make it 3-0 with just under a half-hour gone.
Meslier did prevent Leeds from going further behind until late in the game when a fine long ball from Kane found Son Heung-min. The South Korean had the composure to give Spurs their fourth.
The Whites did have some chances to pull a goal back, hitting the word work twice. Stuart Dallas probably had Leeds’ best chance of the game when he rounded Hugo Lloris midway into the Spurs half. There was still plenty of space between Dallas and the goal but he took too long and allowed Tottenham’s defenders to recover.
The result might well lift the mood of Antonio Conte, who looked crestfallen after Spurs lost to Burnley midweek, but it certainly won’t lift the mood at Elland Road as Leeds lose yet again. The result could well be the end of the road for Marcelo Bielsa.
LANDMARK: Leeds become the first ever @PremierLeague team to concede 20 goals in a single calendar month in the history of the competition.

The WORST defensive record in a single month in Premier League history. That’s how bad we are. #LUFC pic.twitter.com/UwK9OYwVwG
