Liverpool's hopes for clinching the Premier League title suffered a significant setback after they were held to a 2-2 draw against West Ham United.

The visitors started the match strongly, controlling possession and territory while setting the pace of the game.

Midway the first half, the Reds had a penalty appeal but it was ruled off by VAR for an offside in the build-up.

Vladimir Coufal tested Alisson with a powerful shot at the half-hour mark, while Luis Diaz had a near miss shortly after.

Two minutes before half-time, the Hammers took the lead with a quick corner that caught Liverpool off guard, resulting in Jarrod Bowen's header.

Liverpool came back strong in the second half and turned the game around.

First, they equalised in the 49th minute through Andy Robertson's effort and took the lead in an unconventional manner in the 64th minute when a volley by Cody Gakpo deflected off multiple players before crossing the line.

The hosts didn't give up and levelled in the 77th minute through Michail Antonio, who headed in a cross from Bowen.

The Reds pushed for a winning goal, with Elliott hitting the crossbar late in the game, but ultimately failed to secure a victory, leaving them behind Arsenal and Manchester City in the league standings with three games remaining.

Jurgen Klopp's men remain third in the table, two points behind Arsenal and one behind Man City, with the  Citizens having two games in hand and Arsenal having one.

As a Liverpool fan, I am disappointed with the draw against West Ham. VAR's ruling off our penalty appeal was frustrating, but we should have been able to overcome that setback. Let's regroup and focus on our next match.

Wow, what a rollercoaster of a match! Liverpool may have dropped points, but the fighting spirit of the team is still evident. The VAR decision may have been frustrating, but we can't dwell on it. Let's focus on the comeback and the determination shown by the players. We'll bounce back stronger.
