Tottenham staged an impressive comeback, securing a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The early moments saw Timo Werner presented with an excellent opportunity to put Tottenham in the lead after Son Heung-min delivered a remarkable ball over the top for the German forward, but he was unable to round Sam Johnstone when in a 1v1 situation.
The first half remained tense and cagey, with both teams heading into the break on level terms.
After half-time, as Spurs intensified their attack, Son struck the post after meeting a low cross from Dejan Kulusevski.
Despite their efforts, the visitors took the lead on the hour mark through Eberechi Eze, who converted a powerful free kick into the top corner after being tripped by Rodrigo Bentancur on the edge of the box.
Tottenham's search for an equaliser paid off when Werner took an opportunity created by Brennan Johnson and scored his first goal for Spurs with 77 minutes on the clock.
Just three minutes later, the hosts took the lead as Cristian Romero headed home from a bouncing throw-in by James Maddison.
The victory was sealed in the 88th minute when Son capitalised on a failed Palace clearance, putting the game to bed.
With this result, Ange Postecoglou's side maintained their fifth position, temporarily narrowing the gap to Aston Villa to two points, while Palace remained in 13th place.
