Chile defeated by Argentina

Argentina overcame Chile in a close win on Thursday, 1x2, on matchday 5. Before this matchday, Chile's national team came from a defeat, and Argentina's national team came from a win.

The first goal of the game was scored by Felipe Gutiérrez, from a corner, with 11 minutes on the clock.  after 20 minutes, Ángel Di María fired home for Argentina, with a right-foot strike inside the penalty area, with Éver Banega making the assist. Gabriel Mercado scored the winner in the 25th minute with a right-foot shot inside the box.

After the result Argentina are 5th in the table, with 8 points, while Chile sit 6th place, with 7 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Gerardo Martino's team will host Bolivia, whilst Juan Antonio Pizzi's team visit Venezuela.
