Lazio edged past Juventus

Lazio defeated Juventus in a close win on Saturday, 1x2, on matchday 8. Before this matchday, Torino's team came from a draw, and Roma 's team came from two wins. Ciro Immobile was on fire.

In the 23rd minute, Douglas Costa opened the score for Juventus, with a right-foot shot.

After the break, Ciro Immobile struck for Lazio, with a right-foot strike inside the box, laid on by Luis Alberto. Ciro Immobile scored the winner in the 54th minute from the penalty spot. With this goal, Ciro Immobile reached the landmark of fifteen goals this season. Thomas Strakosha kept his goal safe by saving the penalty deep into added time, taken by Paulo Dybala. 

After the result Lazio are 3rd in the table, with 19 points, while Juventus sit 4th place, with 19 points. With regard to the next fixture, Simone Inzaghi's team will host Cagliari, whilst Massimiliano Allegri's team visit Udinese.
