Atalanta defeated Napoli in a close win on Tuesday, 1x2, in a match relating to the quarter-finals of Coppa Italia.
The first half came to an end without goals.
The first goal was scored by Timothy Castagne with 50 minutes on the clock, with a right-foot strike. In the 81st minute, Papu Gómez struck the second goal for Atalanta, with a left-foot strike inside the penalty area, laid on by Robin Gosens. Dries Mertens netted the last goal after 84 minutes through a header inside the penalty box.
Thanks to this result, Atalanta are through to the next round of the competition. In the next fixture, Gian Piero Gasperini's team will host Juventus.
