Athletico Paranaense move on to the next round of Copa Sudamericana 

Athletico Paranaense triumphed over Caracas FC in a close win on Wednesday, 2x1, in a match relating to the Last 16 of Copa Sudamericana. The first leg fixture ended in a 0x0 draw.

Marcelo Cirino opened the score in the 31st minute.

After 49 minutes, Robert Garcés struck for Caracas FC, laid on by Diomar Díaz. Renan Lodi scored the winning goal with 58 minutes on the clock.

Thanks to this result, Athletico Paranaense are through to the next round of the competition. With regard to the next fixture, Curitiba (PR)'s team will play away against Bahia.
