Omonia thrashed by Nea Salamis

Nea Salamis beat Omonia in a superb win on Monday, 5x2, on matchweek 7. To this matchday, Famagusta's team came from a defeat, and Nicosia's team came from two defeats.

The first goal of the game was scored by Renato Margaça, in the 5th minute.  after 18 minutes, Charis Mavrias fired home for Omonia. In the 23rd minute, Dimitrios Kolovos scored the second goal for Nicosia's team. In the 32nd minute, Charles Eloundou fired home Nea Salamis second goal. After 42 minutes, Thiago Ferreira struck for Famagusta's team.

After 52 minutes, Savvas Poursaitidis's team extended their lead with a goal from Anderson Correia.  with 56 minutes on the clock, Kingsley Onuegbu scored the last goal of the match.

After the result Nea Salamis are 5th in the table, with 40 points, while Omonia sit 6th place, with 36 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Savvas Poursaitidis's team visit AEK Larnaca, whilst Giannis Anastasiou's team will play away against AEL Limassol.
