St. Mirren wins and overtakes Hamilton

St. Mirren defeated Hamilton in a win on Saturday, 0x3, in a match relating of Scottish FA Cup. Both Brian Rice 's team and Jim Goodwin's team held their first game in the competition. Jamie McGrath made a tremendous game. In the starting XI there was Hakeem Odofin, Aaron Martin, Jak Alnwick and Jonathan Obika. Dean Lyness didn't leave the bench.

Early on, Jamie McGrath opened the scoring for St. Mirren.

After 63 minutes, Kristian Dennis came on. With 74 minutes on the clock, o fired home Paisley's team's second goal, assisted by Jonathan Obika.  Jamie McGrath netted the last goal in the 79th minute from the penalty spot.

With this result, St. Mirren are through to the next round of the competition. With regard to the next fixture, Jim Goodwin's team will play at home against Inverness.
