On Monday evening, Aaron Ramsdale and Conor Gallagher became the latest players with either permanent or loan experience in the EFL to then go on and represent the England national football team.
Eight out of England's starting XI in the 10-0 victory against San Marino had played in the EFL, while the 26-man squad that reached the final of UEFA Euro 2020 featured 19 players with experience of football in 'The 72'.
The Playmaker team therefore set themselves a 'group chat' challenge: to pick one EFL player apiece who will one day play for the Three Lions at senior level.
It's obviously a tough gig, as some players seemingly destined to play for England fail to hit the heights, while seemingly lesser lights and late developers go on to earn full international honours.
The gauntlet was thrown down, however, and here are four players we (well, at least one of us!) genuinely believe will play for England one day.
