Abdoulaye Doucoure scored the winner in Everton's 1-0 victory over Sheffield United at Goodison Park.

Despite the match having a somewhat end-of-season atmosphere, with neither team having significant stakes, Everton were the better side, creating numerous scoring opportunities and deserving of the win.

Doucoure found the back of the net in the 30th minute with a close-range header into an empty goal, capitalising on Dominic Calvert-Lewin's well-placed cross.

While the Tofees had already secured their survival, clinching victory in their final home fixture extended their unbeaten streak to five games.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United's defeat saw them become the first team to concede a record-breaking 101 goals in a single season.

In the final day, Everton will head to title-chasers Arsenal, while Sheffield United's dismal campaign concludes at home against Tottenham Hotspur.

Great win for the Toffees! Doucoure with a clutch goal and a solid performance overall. Ready for one last win against Arsenal before the season ends.

As a fan of Everton, I am thrilled that we were able to secure another win in our final home game of the season! Doucoure's goal was perfectly timed and the team's performance was dominant throughout the match. It's great to see our unbeaten streak continue and I'm already looking forward to our match against Arsenal next week. Commiserations to Sheffield United, but we're happy to extend their record-breaking defensive woes.
