The EFL have confirmed that the game between Rotherham United and Cardiff City from the 18th March will be replayed in full.
The Bluebirds were 1-0 ahead thanks to Jaden Philogene's goal when torrential rain stopped play at the New York Stadium in a clash between two sides hovering just above the relegation zone.
“In considering matters such as these,” the EFL said about the decision. “The league seeks to adopt consistency with previous occurrences where fixtures have been abandoned for weather-related reasons and could not be restarted.”
Cardiff were hoping that the game would continue from the 48th minute with the scoreline remaining the same with the decision leaving the club feeling “aggrieved.”
The game will now be played on Tuesday 25th April at 7:45 pm – with Cardiff supporters needing to make another trip up north.
