Blackburn Rovers manager Jon Dahl Tomasson is set to quit the club this week.
According to the Daily Mail, the Dane has already informed his players that he will be leaving, Rovers currently on an eight-game winless run that has seen them drop to 18th place in the Championship.
Tomasson's expected departure follows a farcical end to the transfer window for the Lancashire club, who sold Adam Wharton to Crystal Palace for a fee that could rise to £22m, but failed to finalise a deal for USA striker Duncan McGuire due to an administrative error.
According to the Mail report, Blackburn prevented Tomasson from appearing at his press conference ahead of last weekend's 2-1 loss to QPR and the former Newcastle striker is set to leave Ewood Park imminently having grown frustrated with Rovers' owners, the Venky's.
Tomasson led Blackburn to a seventh-placed finish in the second tier last season, Rovers just missing out on a play-off spot on goal difference.
