Flamengo defeat Internacional

Flamengo edged out Internacional in a win on Thursday, 3x1, on matchweek 21. Before this matchday, Jorge Jesus's team came from five wins, and Odair Hellmann 's team came from three wins.

In the 18th minute, Bruno left the game early after seeing a red card. Gabriel Barbosa opened the score after 20 minutes, from the penalty spot. Gabriel Barbosa is on a scoring streak of 7 consecutive games scoring. Shortly before the interval, Internacional saw Paolo Guerrero get a straight red card

After the break, Edenílson fired home for Porto Alegre (RS)'s team, with a left-foot strike from outside the box, after an assist provided by Rodrigo Lindoso. In the 56th minute, De Arrascaeta struck the second goal for Flamengo, through a header, after a pass from Rafinha.  Bruno Henrique netted the last goal after 74 minutes with a right-foot strike inside the penalty box. With this goal, Bruno Henrique reached the 20th goal of the season.

After the result Flamengo are 1st in the table, with 48 points, while Internacional sit 5th place, with 36 points. With regard to the next fixture, Rio de Janeiro (RJ)'s team will play at home against São Paulo, while Porto Alegre (RS)'s team will host Palmeiras.
