Morecambe beat Port Vale in a close win on Tuesday, 2x1, in the match for the 26th round. Before this Matchday, Morecambe's team came from a draw, and Stoke-on-Trent's team came from a win.

After 6 minutes, Steven Old opened the scoring for Morecambe, from a corner, assisted by Adam Phillips. In the 12th minute, Cole Stockton fired home Derek Adams's team's second goal, with a right-foot shot, after a pass from Adam Phillips.

 James Gibbons netted the last goal with 71 minutes on the clock with a left-foot shot.
