Nimes defeated Marseille by 1x2

Nimes triumphed over Marseille in a close win on Saturday, 1x2, in game related to round 20. Before this Matchday, André Villas-Boas's team came from a draw, and Jérôme Arpinon's team came from three defeats. Niclas Eliasson runned the show.

After 35 minutes, Florian Thauvin had a golden chance to score but missed the penalty. The first-half ended without any goals.

The first goal was scored by Niclas Eliasson with 55 minutes on the clock, with a left-foot shot. With 58 minutes on the clock, Niclas Eliasson strucked the second goal for Nimes, with a left-foot strike, after a pass from Sofiane Alakouch.  Darío Benedetto netted the last goal after 85 minutes with a right-foot strike inside the penalty area.

After the result Marseille is 6th in the table, 35 points, while Nimes occupy 19th place, 15 points. In their next fixture, Jérôme Arpinon's team visit Angers. Meanwhile, André Villas-Boas's team will host Lens.
