Crvena Zvezda overcome CFR Cluj

Crvena Zvezda overcame CFR Cluj, 1x2, on Thursday, in a match relating of the Europa League [Qualification]. Beograd's team beat Cluj-Napoca's team, 4x0, in the first leg of the tie.

The first goal was scored by Aleksandar Katai early in the game, from the penalty spot. Aleksandar Katai now on a scoring streak of 3 consecutive games. After 34 minutes, Gabriel Debeljuh struck for CFR Cluj, through a header inside the penalty area, laid on by Valentin Costache.

Milan Pavkov scored the winner in the 53rd minute with a left-foot shot from outside the penalty box. With 63 minutes on the clock, Ciprian Deac could have scored for Marius Sumudica's team, but Milan Borjan has brilliantly saved the penalty. After 78 minutes, Cluj-Napoca's team saw Jonathan Rodríguez get sent off due to accumulation of yellows.

Thanks to this result, Crvena Zvezda are through to the next round of the competition.
