FC Porto emerge victorious against Santa Clara

FC Porto edged out Santa Clara, 2x1, on Saturday, in a game relating to matchweek 28. Coming into the contest, the Dragões came from two wins, and Danildo Accioly's team came from six defeats.

The first goal was scored by Matheus Uribe after 34 minutes, from the penalty spot. With this strike, Matheus Uribe reached 5th goals for the season. Shortly before the interval, Otávio had a golden opportunity on his feet to score but missed a penalty.

FC Porto scored their second goal of the game through Danny Namaso, after 80 minutes, with a right-foot strike inside the penalty box. Kyosuke Tagawa netted the last goal in stoppage time with a left-foot strike inside the box.

After the result FC Porto are 2nd in the table, with 67 points, while Santa Clara sit 18th place, with 15 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Sérgio Conceição's team will play away against Paços de Ferreira, while Danildo Accioly's team will play at home against GD Chaves.
