Sky Blues on cloud nine after dramatic win

Coventry City won an incredible FA Cup quarter-final against Wolves at Molineux on Saturday thanks to two goals deep into added time. 

The Sky Blues booked their place in the semi-finals at Wembley after a pulsating contest that saw them trailing late in the game - only for strikes from Ellis Simms and Haji Wright to turn the match on its head and seal a famous victory. 

Earlier, a controversial first goal from Simms had put Coventry ahead, only for Wolves to surge into a 2-1 lead courtesy of goals from Rayan Air Nouri and Bueno in the 83rd and 88th minutes respectively. 

The Action: Goal-less at the break, an absorbing contest evolved into an FA Cup classic with Simms' opening goal on 53 minutes charged with plenty of drama - a lengthy VAR check deeming that the former Everton forward had not deflected the ball into the net with his arm. 

Coventry entered the final 10 minutes with their dreams of a Wembley semi-final growing by the second, but two goals from Gary O'Neil's Wolves looked to have shattered them. 

First, Ait-Nouri levelled and then substitute Bueno struck to hand the advantage firmly to the hosts.  

However with precious time ticking away, Simms bagged his second of the afternoon when he turned home Bobby Thomas' flick at the far post...and then in the 10th minute of additional time Wright arrowed a shot into the bottom corner to spark bedlam among the away fans. 

Coventry manager Mark Robins and his staff spilled onto the pitch at the end of the game to celebrate his side's victory - in a competition that they famously won back in 1987.
